Here is a place where you can catch a glimpse of lakes, fields, mountains and various landscapes of British Columbia. I enjoy breathing the air the higher in elevation I go. There is a sweet smell to the atmosphere depending on the day. Smuggler Cove

My husband and I hiking Smuggler Cove trail.
Good day to everyone. Today’s post is on Smuggler Cove. The smuggling of illegal Chinese laborers during the last century has given the cove its name. This is a beautiful place on the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia.

During May 2005 my husband and I went on a holiday to Sechelt British Columbia. It is a rainy time of year on the Sunshine Coast however rain or shine this is one of the most beautiful areas I have been to in British Columbia. We had a day of sunshine and a few miles of hiking in our boots. Off we go for an excellent guided tour of the area. Our guides were our sister Gayle and her husband Peter. Our first stop was Smuggler Cove Provincial Marine Park. There are well-maintained hiking trails throughout the park. The rainforest canopy is truly beautiful and lush and many arbutus trees along the way. If you are ever touring British Columbia this is a great spot for rest and relaxation. During the summer months it is a good idea to pack along an air mattress so one can float around Smuggler Cove. There are lots of artisan shops along the entire Sunshine Coast. We only had four days however I could spend a week or two touring the coastline, with stops at the many bed and breakfast’s as well as all the cool artisan shops and galleries.

Gayle and Peter provided the pictures. Enjoy. Have a most wonderful day and the next post is coming soon. Love and Light Colleen.
